The 2018 Dolcetto d'Alba L'Alto is a powerful, heady wine that has enough structure and overall depth to pair with a wide range of foods. Black cherry, smoke, licorice and dark spice bring out the more virile side of Dolcetto nicely.

The Paolo Conterno 2018 Dolcetto d'Alba l'Alto is packed with plump and rich fruit. Blackberry confit and cherry preserves give the wine easy-drinking appeal. Earthy tones and some mild tobacco also appear. Fruit is sourced from 25-year-old vines. Winemaking starts in stainless steel and ends with a quick seven months in botte grande. With 16,000 bottles made, this wine should be relatively easy to locate.
