Chemistry Pinot Noir 2019
|Region||United States, Oregon, Willamette Valley|
Vivid ruby-red. Dark berries, cherry and mocha on the nose and in the mouth. In a fleshy, weighty style, with a broad, warm finish that features dusty tannins and a hint of bitter chocolate.
Up front and snappy, with boysenberry and tarragon flavors that finish with zesty tannins. Drink now through 2024. 12,900 cases made.
This is a pleasant, easy-drinking wine with forward, fruity flavors of cranberry and plum. Though aging in 15% new French oak is listed, it's the fruit rather than the barrel flavors that stand out here. It might be compared favorably to an Oregon Gamay.
