Georges Puig Carignane De La Perpignane 2016

Almost Italianate or Nebbiolo-ish, the majority Carignan 2016 Carignane de la Perpignane boasts ample tannins, alcohol and acidity. Herb, spice and cola notes develop tea-like complexity on the tannic, concentrated finish. I wouldn't expect this wine to make old bones, but it looks to me as if it would benefit from a couple of years of bottle age.
