Polished aromas of lovely ripe dark fruit and chocolatey spicy oak, with floral and herbal notes. An expressive and fresh palate with purity of fruit, juicy tannins, and a solid length. Approachable now and will age well.

Lots of dried blackcurrant, dark chocolate and walnut on the nose. It’s medium-to full-bodied with firm, fine tannins. Flavorful finish. Try from 2022.

The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is a gorgeous entry-level wine from Clos du Val. Sensual and so inviting, the 2018 will be a real pleasure to drink right out of the gate. Inky dark fruit, grilled herbs, graphite and lavender open effortlessly in the glass, all framed by silky, poised tannins.

Composed of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Merlot, 7% Petit Verdot and 1% Malbec, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate sports a deep garnet-purple color, offering open-knit, fragrant notions of warm cassis, blackberry pie and boysenberries plus touches of clove oil, dark chocolate and violets. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is laden with ripe, juicy black fruit, supported by ripe, grainy tannins and just enough freshness, finishing on a floral note.
