The 2020 Parcela do Convento is an unoaked Loureiro coming in at 13.3% alcohol. This is a super Loureiro, aromatic, concentrated and delicious. As ripe as it is for this grape, there are still hints of green around the edges. It is vigorous and fresh, a big step up over the last one I saw. It finishes almost with a tart edge, even while coating the palate. The remaining question here is whether it can hold well for a few years and develop. As the price point and score ticks up, expectations rise. Right now, though, this is a big winner.
