There is a touch of reduction on the nose, though despite that this seems impressively defined and focused. The palate is medium-bodied, more expressive with fine-boned tannins, taut and fresh, quite intense (as you would expect from a Richebourg). I appreciate the manner in which it builds and exerts insistent grip and structure on the finish. Serious." 11/22

There is a bit more size, weight and volume to the more powerful, and more mineral-inflected, larger-scaled flavors that terminate in a serious, youthfully austere and built-to-age finale. This is a classically styled Richebourg of robust power and punch."

The wine is dense and compact on the palate, but there is no heaviness, instead, simply velvety power and length. Now that the Gros family has finished their swaps for estate planning, this domaine has 0.50 hectares (instead of 0.60), all in the lieu-dit Verouilles. The grapes are partially destem" 10/22
