An opaque, dark violet core of color gives rise to vibrant aromas of dried black currant, dried blackberry, and sun-dried Herbs de Provence. These powerful flavors wash across the palate along with dark chocolate covered espresso beans and very subtle toasted baking spices, indicating limited exposure to new French oak. Supple tannins frame the palate, while mouth-watering acidity provides a perfect counterbalance, leading to a long finish.

Bright pure-grape character with citrus and blackberry aromas and flavors. Medium body, fine and fresh tannins with lemony and stony undertones. White volcanic-stone minerality. A new second wine from Anakota. Drink or hold.

Color is dark purple / violet and the nose is slightly green upon opening, it burns off over about 30-40 minutes. Then blackberries and cherries show up, but still getting a little summer garden notes like basel and figs. After an hour I would say if goes from a 92 to a 94 - then in an hour and a 1/2 its a solid 95. Has a very slight white pepper finish and if you dig deep you get a little mint. In an hour and a half licorice shows up.

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Knights Valley, blended with 3% Petit Verdot, has a deep ruby-purple color and alluring aromas of black cherries, blueberries, thyme, aniseed and violet with touches of tobacco leaves and cedar. The medium-bodied palate has smooth, finely grained tannins and bright acidity, finishing long and floral. Its new French oak is integrating gracefully, and its bright, aromatic character makes this ideal for early drinking. 1,641 cases produced.
