Moving to the reds, the 2019 Grenache Two Become One, which saw 56% new 600-liter barrels, is a full-bodied, rich, yet always elegant and focused Grenache that has beautiful darker berry fruits as well as notes of orange blossom, pepper, spice, and violets. The blend is 76% Grenache, 13% Mourvèdre, and 11% Syrah that saw 29% whole clusters. If you get a chance, you should buy it.

Composed of 76% Grenache, 13% Mourvedre and 11% Syrah, the fruit for the 2019 Grenache Two Become One was sourced from The Third Twin, Vogelzang, Bien Nacido and Sebastiano vineyards. It was made using 29% whole cluster and was aged for 20 months in French oak, 80% new, before bottling in July 2021. Deep purple-black in color, the wine is beautifully perfumed with notions of redcurrant jelly, black raspberries, blackberries ad rose oil, followed by hints of cracked black pepper, fragrant earth, dried Provence herbs and lavender. Full-bodied, the taut, tightly wound red and black berry flavors deliver impressive energy and freshness with a soft, fine-grained texture and long, fragrant finish. 381 cases were made.
