Coppo Barolo 2019
Although Barbera is the flagship grape for this estate based in Canelli, Coppo is grandfathered into the Barolo appellation thanks to its very long winemaking history. In fact, the Coppo 2019 Barolo recalls the extra intensity and richness that you find in the estate's long range of Barbera-based wines. Obviously, that's comparing apples to oranges, yet this wine is indeed more structured and broad thanks to ripe fruit and oak aging (with its sweet spice and cinnamon nuances). The approach is more accessible overall.
