Light gold, clear straw color. The nose creates a full bouquet of white fruits, peach, apricots, mango, Spanish melon jam and orange zest. The palate is soft, smooth, rich, precise and glowing full of the same white fruits exquisite flavors. This richness is compensated with a splendid freshness providing a balance and very silky finish.

This is tightly coiled now, but the range of juicy tangerine, white peach and white ginger notes should unfurl soon enough, carried by a mouthwatering quinine note and ending with a light orange blossom hint on the finish. Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc. Drink now through 2026. 12,500 cases made.

A wine that sells for a song (at least in the US market), the 2018 Clos des Lunes Lune d'Argent Blanc checks in as 70% Sémillon and 30% Sauvignon Blanc that's fermented in tank and aged in 25% new oak. Beautiful apple, citrus blossom, tart citrus, and a touch of minerality all emerge from this medium-bodied, vibrant white that builds with time in the glass. It's another terrific white from this team that's going to shine on the dinner table.

One of a pair of dry wines produced by the Domaine de Chevalier team from vines in the Sauternes region, this is bright and fruity. With its generous citrus character and tangy texture, it is both ripe and fresh. The wine is just ready to drink.

The 2018 Lune d'Argent is soft, open-knit and inviting with lovely orchard fruit and floral character. Dried apricot, baked apple and dried flowers are nicely layered in this pretty dry white. The 2018 is 70% Sémillon and 30% Sauvignon, done mostly in concrete, with a portion of the juice vinified in oak.

The Lune d'Argent comes from the lieu-dit Cap Lanne in the parish of Sauternes. After fermentation in cement tanks, a portion of the new wine was aged in 25% new French oak barrels. The wine was aged on its lees with regular bâtonnage during the six-month aging regimen. A blend of 70% Sémillon and 30% Sauvignon Blanc with 13.5% alcohol, the 2018 Lune d'Argent is scented of fresh grapefruit, lemon zest and lime leaves with touches of chalk dust, white pepper and dill seed. Medium-bodied, crisp and clean in the mouth, it has a lovely pure citrusy nature and chalky finish.
