Brilliant red. Highly perfumed dark berry, cherry preserve and floral scents are sharpened by a hint of peppery spices and a zesty mineral quality. Palate-staining black raspberry and bitter cherry flavors show very good depth and become sweeter in the glass while picking up a sexy floral pastille nuance. Unwinds steadily on an impressively long finish that features gentle sweetness and harmonious tannins.

This cuvée has a well-integrated mix of raspberry fruit and barrel flavors of caramel and mocha. The aromatics bring a note of dried tobacco, and the finish trails out gracefully with a taste of toasted hazelnuts.
Wine Advocate
- wa92
Wine Advocate 92 points - The 2016 Pinot Noir Marine Sedimentary has a pale to medium ruby-purple color and slowly unfolding aromas of black cherries, cranberries, aniseed, tangerine peel, mushroom and forest floor. It’s light to medium-bodied but concentrated with a good balance of fruit and earth character, with a grainy, fresh frame and very long finish. This will benefit from a decant.
Wine Spectator

Wine Spectator 91 points - Plump with fruit and elegantly complex, offering blueberry and cherry flavors that fan out to accents of tarragon and orange zest, building toward polished tannins. Drink now through 2024. 620 cases made.
