A silver/yellow color, the 2022 Solosole resembles a Chablis or Sancerre with its fresh aromas of lemon zest, white grapefruit, chive, and Parmesan rind. Medium-bodied, it has nicely balanced intensity on the palate, with a refreshing feel and a spritely lift in its mouthwatering notes of salted citrus. It is a very nice summer wine that would be versatile paired with fresh spring vegetables and goat or sheep's milk cheese. Drink 2024-2026.

The 2022 Vermentino Solosole is a delight. Candied lime, ginger, passionfruit and crushed rocks are nicely delineated in this crisp, exotic Vermentino. The unusual flavor profile makes Solosole a delicious white to drink either as an aperitif or at the dinner table.

The unoaked Poggio al Tesoro 2022 Bolgheri Vermentino Solosole feels a bit leaner than I remember past vintages being. In terms of bouquet, the wine offers tropical notes with guava and candied papaya. These aromas reflect the hot vintage. The wine shows good texture and volume, although I feel that it is more subdued compared to past releases. Vermentino offers lemon and white flower, and both those themes are played forward here, with some spiciness too. This is a big production of 95,000 bottles.
