The 2019 Rosso di Montalcino lifts up with a pretty herbal and floral display, gaining richness with time in the glass, as wild strawberries and brown spice come forward with hints of white pepper and smoke. It boasts silky textures over a medium-bodied frame, with masses of ripe red and black berries contrasted by salty mineral. A gorgeous inner sweetness lingers, tapering off to inner violet tones with an underlying twang of tart citrus. There's really quite a lot going on here for a Rosso which may become even more expressive with short-term cellaring.

The 2019 Rosso di Montalcino is lifted with aromatics of ripe raspberry, rose petal, and licorice. There is ripe freshness on the palate, with crisp red cherry, sweet Mediterranean herbs, and orange zest. This is a delightful Rosso with a lot of energy that will be great early drinking from 2021-2026.
