This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon is made from our 13-acre estate vineyard atop Pritchard Hill, overlooking Lake Hennessey. This First Growth vineyard is meticulously farmed by David Abreu, with whom we have worked closely for over 12 years. This wine is a beautiful expression of our unique terroir and a testament to the dedication of our winemaking and vineyard team to produce the finest possible wine from this site.

A true expression of the Pritchard Hill terroir, Bryant Family Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon was first released in 1992 and is culled solely from grapes grown on the estate’s 13-acre vineyard. This First Growth wine conveys the long winemaking history of the region, a confluence of climate and soil plus a team of experts committed to nurturing its creation.

The fabulous 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Pritchard Hill displays the tell-tale floral character that routinely emerges from this vineyard, along with blueberry and black currant liqueur intermixed with hints of oak, camphor and incense. The purity of the fruit, the layered, multidimensional mouthfeel and spectacular 50-second finish are all characteristics of some of the greatest Cabernet Sauvignons Napa Valley has ever produced. This beauty is one of the candidates for wine of the vintage. It should continue to drink well for 25-30 years.

Rich and smooth in tannins, with some sharpness through the finish, this shows masses of ripe blackberries and dark chocolate. A bit of time in the glass reprises and accentuates the chocolaty richness. Despite its power, this is refined and high toned, a serious cellar candidate. Give it 10-15 years.

A real beauty, exhibiting riveting aromatics that touch a range of dark berry, green olive and herb flavors, with cedar, mocha and espresso notes. Yet for all the size and density of this Cabernet, the tannins are fine and silky. Best from 2014 through 2030. 965 cases made.
