The nocturnal harvest allows this pretty pale color to be obtained, while preserving an aromatic nose of red fruits and marshmallow. Without roughness, its mouth is round and harmonious.
This wine is the result of Jacques Seysses of Domaine Dujac, Aubert de Villaine of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti and their good friend Michel Macaux prospecting for vineyards in Provence.
Both Jacques and Aubert immediately recognised the gently sloping hillside with clay and limestone soil and an ideal southern exposure, as perfect for viticulture.
Originally called Domaine du Logis de Nans they changed the name to Triennes as reference to Triennia, the Romain festival held in honour of Bacchus.
Cinsault, blended with Grenache, Syrah and Merlot; alcohol: 12.8%; vineyards in Var facing Massif de la Sainte Baume; clay and limestone soil; grapes harvested at night to ensure cool temperature at winery arrival; pressed after few hours of skin contact; fermented in stainless steel tanks until dry; suitable for vegetarians.

Jacques Seysses, from Domaine Dujac, and Aubert de Villaines, from iconic Domaine de la Romanée Conti, have teamed up with Michel Macaux, a Parisian, to acquire a 46-hectare Mediterranean estate. The 2022 IGP Mediterranee Rosé, mostly Cinsault alongside Grenache, Syrah and Merlot, exhales a fresh, delicate bouquet with aromas of red berries, lemon, pomegranate, wild strawberry and spices. Juicy, fresh and perfectly balanced, with a delicate, sappy texture, it’s long with mineral acids, iodine notes and a penetrating, mouthwatering finish. This is worth hunting down.
