The 2013 Cabernet Franc was aged for 16 months in 85% new Hungarian oak. It comes in at 13.2% alcohol. Lighter than the Merlot reviewed, but showing the fine character of a well-made Cab Franc, this has smooth texture and flavor on the finish. Solid for the grape and the region in the mid-palate, it drinks well young, but it has the stuffing to evolve, too. It is nicely done.
