Colour: An intensely dark blood dye red with a black, squid ink hue. Bouquet: A subtle yet sophisticated nose that teases the brain with assorted fruits that intrigue. Smokey, dusty coffee beans and burnt chocolate encapsulate the senses. Palate: Black pepper, liquorice, clove, thyme hit the taste buds and get the heart beating that little bit faster. Evel Douro Red 2014The Evel Tinto is produced from vines planted at Quinta das Carvalhas, Quinta dos Aciprestes and Quinta de Cidrô, located in Pinhão, Vale do Tua and São João da Pesqueira. The first two locations benefit from a warm climate where wines are structured and elegante while Quinta de Cidrô benefits from a cool climate that permits the slow maturation of grapes and the production of aromatic wines with smooth tanins. The Evel Red is considered a typical Douro reference, with aromas of red fruit and green notes, typical for the region. It reveals itself very balanced, flavourful and round with a good structure and a fruity, persistent finish.
Casa Santos Lima Colossal Reserva Red 2014With an intense rubi colour, this wine presents itself with a great concentration in the nose. Extremely rich aroma with predominance of red ripe frutis and some floral notes, well integrated with notes of spices coming from the ageing in French and American aok barrels. In the mouth it shows great complexity with notes of plums and blackberries. The finish is rich and elegant.
