Argiano Non Confunditur 2017
Argiano Non Confunditur is a red blend with a decisive, full-bodied character, smooth tannins and a persistent finish. Relatively gentle Merlot bridges the earthiness of Sangiovese, the darker black currant flavors of Cabernet Sauvignon and the warm red berries of Syrah. The result is a wine with generous flavors of red berries, a background of earth and minerality, and the smooth tannins and elegant structure and finish to make this wine approachable young with the potential for moderate aging.
This acclaimed “Supertuscan” is a unique combination French and Tuscan grapes. The smoothness of Merlot and the dense fruit of Cab deftly interplay with the earthy character of Sangiovese. Syrah adds just a touch of warmth. Well balanced and generous, with dusty tannins and tons of body and a dry finish. The ripe berries, red currant, oak. earth, leather, and smoke flavors with delicate chocolate and hazelnut undertones are very attractive. Pairs nicely with Veal Scaloppine.
Lean and sinewy, with cherry, berry, cedar and iron flavors giving way to a subtle black pepper note and assertive tannins. This should come alive with a rich bolognese sauce. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Sangiovese. Best from 2020 through 2024. 10,500 cases imported.
