Deutz Brut Classic
|Region||France, Champagne, Ay|
Wine SpectatorThere's an aromatic floral note to the flavors of apricot, ripe apple, smoky mineral, kumquat and lemon zest in this firm bubbly, which is fine-grained and balanced, with a lively, moderate finish. Drink now through 2015. 8,500 cases imported.
Wine AdvocateThe NV Brut Classic is a pretty, entry-level wine. Warm, generous fruit comes together beautifully in this rich, expansive, mid-weight Champagne. The bouquet, texture and purity of the finish are all first-rate. The Brut Classic is equal parts Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay. Like all Deutz Champagnes, it undergoes full malolactic fermentation.
Wine EnthusiastA soft, gentle style of non-vintage Champagne, due perhaps to its relatively high dosage. But the whole wine is well in balance, the white fruits themselves giving a fine, elegant roundness.
