Lots of iron, bloody meat, ground pepper, and assorted black fruits emerge from the 2018 No 7, a blend of 86% Syrah, 12% Mourvèdre, and 2% Viognier. It saw slightly more stems than the 2019 and was 50% destemmed, with the élevage spanning 22 months in 65% new French oak. Full-bodied, concentrated, yet light on its feet and wonderfully balanced, it’s just a magical, gorgeous California Syrah that does everything right.

The 2018 Andremily No. 7 is one of the most complete wines in this range. A cooler, longer growing season compared to 2018 yielded a gorgeous, layered wine with tremendous depth and strong savory accents. Black pepper, lavender, cloves, spice and menthol lend energy and nuance to this heady Syrah-based red.
