The 2019 Gewurztraminer Classic is made from half of bought-in grapes from Riquewhihr and Pfaffenheim and estate fruit from the Sporen Grand Cru. Classic Damask rose and lychee notes make up the fragrant nose; orange zest and honeysuckle soon join in. The palate allows both orange fruit and zest to come to the fore, walking a lovely tightrope between textural zestiness and sweetness. Its 15g/L of sweetness is countered by citrus pith bitterness. The finish is long and aromatic. (Off-dry)
