- A graceful red that carries its medium to full body well, offering fine-grained tannins layered with a subtle streak of smoky mineral and pleasing flavors of ripe black raspberry and sweet brown bread. Hints of dried lavender, orange zest and spice box linger on the chewy finish. Drink now through 2028. 1,500 cases made.

Dark ruby-red. Musky aromas of red cherry, milk chocolate, tobacco, fresh herbs and dill. Juicy, dense and suave in the mouth, with black cherry flavors complicated by hints of herbs, flint and candied violets. A smooth midweight offering restrained sweetness but good flavor intensity, finishing long with an austere quality and fine tannins. Made with a blend of Corvina and Corvinone (70%), Rondinella (20%) and Croatina (10%) from the single vineyard called Ambrosan in San Pietro in Cariano; you can actually smell and taste Croatina’s presence here (it gives a sweet, candied note to the nose and a fleshy, balsamic taste in the mouth). Ambrosan is aged for thirty months in a mix of large Slavonian oak barrels and barriques. Underbrush, steeped prune, blue flower, exotic spice and vanilla aromas come together on this impressive, robust red. The round chewy palate delivers raisin, blackberry extract, tobacco, clove and licorice. Firm velvety tannins provide support. Drink through 2023
