Dry Creek Old Vine Zinfandel 2019
|Region||California, Sonoma County, Dry Creek Valley|
From vines averaging 100 years in age, this hearty wine brings blackberry jam, vanilla and black cherry to the fore. Thick tannins support a full-bodied palate, highlighted in black pepper and baking spice.
Dense and gutsy, this bruiser offers rustic black cherry, dried sage and smoked pepper flavors that build toward firm tannins. Best after 2020. 1,500 cases made.
Deep ruby-purple, the 2017 Old Vine Zinfandel opens with aromas of stone fruit salad, spiced blueberries, boysenberry preserves, dried cranberry and red cherry with floral tones. Medium to full-bodied with pleasant chewiness and juicy acidity, it finishes very spicy. 1,500 cases produced.
