Domaine Vincent Prunier AUXEY DURESSES WHITE 2014
Vincent Prunier is part of a young generation of uncomplicated winemakers who found the winemaking secrets that were thought to be lost. Founded in 1988 with 2 hectares, the estate now farms 13 hectares in Auxey Duresses, Saint Romain, Meursault, Chassagne, Puligny, and Saint Aubin. In the vineyard, carefully controlled yields elevate the quality of the fruit.
Based north of Saint Aubin in the Village Auxey Duresses, and sustainably farmed the wines are hand harvested and vinified in classic, traditional Burgundian style and aged in (not new) oak for about a year before bottling.
Vincent has also long advocated ploughing his vineyards to encourage deeper roots which in turn enables vines to capture the complexity and terroir of each site.
