Sleek and elegantly structured, with polished raspberry, sage and toasted spice flavors that linger on the long finish. Drink now through 2024. 1,700 cases made.
The 2016 Zinfandel (containing 7% Petite Sirah) was aged for ten months in a combination of new French oak (33%) and new American oak (10%). Deep garnet-purple colored, it reveals baked blackberries, stewed plums, spice cake and Christmas pudding with touches of garrigue and tilled soil plus a waft of dried thyme. Medium to full-bodied, concentrated and super spicy, it has a chewy frame and a lively finish culminating in a peppery kick. 1,700 cases produced.
With 3% Petite Sirah and a small percentage of the fruit from Monte Rosso Vineyard, this is hearty, ripe and relentless, and made for fans of a not-shy wine. Tight-grained tannin anchor a core of powerful black cherry, blackberry and cinnamon, ending in vanilla oak.
