Unfurling in the glass with hints of pear, citrus oil, smoke, toasted nuts and white flowers, the 2019 Pouilly-Fuissé Hors-Classe Les Ménétrières is full-bodied, layered and multidimensional, with a textural attack that segues into a deep, concentrated core. Long and sapid, it's the most powerful, muscular wine in the range.

Oyster shell, baking spice, peach and lemon aromas and flavors mark this crisp, well-defined white. There is a touch of white flowers too as this stays focused and persistent through the succulent aftertaste. Excellent balance and length. Drink now through 2028.

The 2019 Pouilly-Fuisse Les Menetrieres is clearly the most backward of the domaine's 19s and demands coaxing, reluctantly offering dried honey, lemon zest and hazelnut aromas. It just requires time, but you can tell this is going to be very well defined. The palate is very well balanced with bitter lemon, lime and orange zest and has a subtle nutty edge towards the fresh and vibrant finish. Give this three to four years for the aromatics to open, and you will have a very delicious Pouilly-Fuisse on your hands.

Discreet though still easily perceptible wood frames the vaguely exotic aromas of white peach, passion fruit and acacia. The succulent, rich and impressively scaled full- bodied flavors coat the palate with dry extract on the very citrusy finish. This is powerful yet elegant.
