Appearance: Pale yellow color with green hints. Aroma: The nose is ethereal and floral with notes of fresh walnut. Palate: A lot of freshness in the mouth and a nice tension on the finish. Lovely mellow oaky hints. Food Pairing: Poached-eggs in white wine sauce - Provence style dorade - ham wrapped veal - Chaource cheese.
A lean white, this reveals lemon, floral, baking spice and anise flavors. Trim and focused on the vibrant finish. Best from 2020 through 2024. 1,500 cases made, 780 cases imported.
Latour's 2017 Puligny-Montrachet Village is a creditable effort, displaying notes of ripe lemons, white flowers and honey, followed by a medium to full-bodied, fleshy palate that's elegantly textural and open-knit, but just a little short on the nicely defined finish.
