The Struie is a wonderfully aromatic and deeply concentrated wine produced from the harmonious combination of both regions, delivering layers of dark chocolate characters and defining structure. Nuances of plum, blackberries, violets and hidden spice characters all further enhance the natural elegance and tension of the fruit quality. The Struie will certainly age tremendously well over the next decade.

A blend of Barossa Valley (79%) and Eden Valley (21%) fruit aged 18 months in 30% new French oak, Torbreck's 2017 The Struie is another one of the values to be had from this producer. Marked by pronounced floral and blueberry notes, this full-bodied, creamy-textured sexpot is rich and concentrated, with just enough spice to keep the palate engaged through the long, velvety finish.

Dense and powerful, featuring a concentrated mix of blackberry, huckleberry and blueberry syrup flavors on a velvety frame, with details of Pu'er tea, dark chocolate, singed palo santo, candied walnut, black pepper and toffee that linger. Despite all the concentration, there's a lovely sense of elegance, with an open-knit frame and a long, lingering finish. Shiraz. Drink now through 2037. 6,000 cases made, 600 cases imported.

This fleshy and open knit 2022. The Struie, a blend from the Barossa and Eden Valley, delivers plush upfront aromas of cherry compote and dark earths with a dusting of spice. It then softens a little on the palate with dusty carob flavors supported by grainy tannins. Overall, this 2022 Shiraz feels close to its peak.
