Stony aromas of crisp nectarine, taut pear and chalk cut through the nose on this bottling. The palate is texturally engaging, fresh and chalky, offering lively flavors of Asian pear, lemongrass and Makrut lime leaf, with just enough broadness in the midpalate to please many.

Brilliant straw-gold. Vibrant citrus and orchard fruit aromas are complemented by hints of jasmine, vanilla and ginger. Juicy and tightly focused on the palate, offering lively Meyer lemon, pear and honeysuckle flavors that slowly unfurl through the midpalate. Shows fine definition and spicy bite on the long, focused finish, which leaves lemon zest and fennel notes behind.

Coming from the Santa Lucia Highlands, the 2018 Chardonnay Highland offers subtle notes of stone fruits, melon, and honeyed lemons to go with a medium-bodied, balanced, nicely textured style on the palate. It's another impeccably made wine from this estate that's incredibly drinkable. It should keep nicely for a couple of years.
