Makes me think of an adolescent Saxum. If Justin Smith made a $20 wine this is what I imagine it would taste like. Let it open for 45 min and Bam - its a winner.

Editors Choice Deep and dark aromas of black cherry and turned loam make for a focused nose on this bottling. Full flavors of dark red fruit meet with oak smoke on the palate, making for a clean and big expression.
Vinous

Inky ruby. Dark fruit preserves, candied licorice and a hint of cola on the nose. Smooth, broad and fleshy in style, offering plush black/blue fruit flavors energized by a spicy flourish. Supple tannins add gentle grip to a long, appealingly sweet finish that leaves black currant and spicy cracked pepper notes behind.

The 2018 Right Hand Man checks in as 88% Syrah, 10% Petite Sirah, and 2% Viognier, and it's also from a variety of sites spread throughout the Central Coast. Classy Syrah notes of blackberries, ground black pepper, and violets all emerge from the glass. This little gem is medium to full-bodied, has a great core of fruit, ripe tannins, and a great finish. Looking for a character-filled house red? Give this a whirl.
