Louis Jadot Chassagne Montrachet 2018
|Region||France, Burgundy, Chassagne-Montrachet|
Points, Allen Meadows, Burghound: "Ripe and fresh aromas include those of petrol, rosemary oil and white orchard fruit nuances. There is both fine volume and richness to the delicious and attractively textured medium-bodied flavors that exhibit fine length on the ever-so-mildly rustic finish. This too could use more depth, but my range implicitly assumes it will develop if the wine is allowed a few years of cellaring first. (Drink starting 2024)"
The 2018 Chassagne-Montrachet Village has a light and quite airy bouquet of lemon thyme and jasmine aromas. The palate is taut and fresh on the entry with a twist of sour lemon, moderate weight in the mouth and a lively if uncomplicated, waxy-textured finish. Fine.
