Deep ruby red, almost impenetrable. Elegant intensity of aromas: preserved fruit, dried plums and cocoa. Intense and well balanced on the palate: full bodied with silky tannins and a firm structure. Long finish of ripe cherries and sweet spices. Food Pairing: Ideal with red meats, roasts, and other richly-flavoured dishes. Excellent paired with strong cheeses.

A very unique wine with cherry wood, light varnish and dark black fruit. Full body, soft and velvety and extremely long. Wonderful length and generosity. Creamy and round textured, yet long and flavorful. Fresh finish. Four months in cherry wood barrels make this special. Drink now or hold.

The 2013 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Vaio Armaron wafts up a slightly restrained display, mixing sour cherry with autumnal spices, dried florals and a dusting of confectioner’s sugar. It’s silky in texture and more savory than you’d expect, offering red and hints of blue fruit coasting across its medium-bodied frame. This comes across as quite elegant with beautiful symmetry and a seamless personality, as it tapers off understated and structured with a flourish of wild berries and hints of almond paste. The 2013 will require more time in the cellar to flesh out a bit, but that said, I believe it will always be a very feminine expression of Vaio Armaron.

An elegant, medium- to full-bodied red, fresh and well-knit, offering an appealing, satiny texture and a pure beam of dried cherry flavors, with hints of red licorice, ground espresso and rich, loamy earth. Delicate notes of exotic spice, saffron and mineral play on the finish. Drink now through 2028. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. 3,750 cases made, 400 cases imported.
