This blend of Pinot Noir from Monterey County (65%), Santa Barbara County (18%) and Sonoma County (17%) begins with aromas of boysenberry, dried lilac and turned earth on the nose. There is a focused intensity on the palate, with more berry flavors as well as pie crust, loamy earth and a pinch of mint.

Elegant and juicy, featuring minerally precision to the pomegranate, cherry and currant flavors. Slate and spice details show on the finish, with creamy accents. Drink now through 2024. 15,000 cases made.

Coming from Monterey County, Santa Barbara, and Sonoma County, the 2017 Pinot Noir Overlook offers a slightly fresher, more vibrant perfume of candied cherries, violets, sappy herbs, and new leather. Nicely textured, medium-bodied, with good acidity as well as length, it's a rock-solid value that's ideal for drinking while you give the single vineyard cuvées a year or three in bottle.
