Pale straw-yellow. Yellow peach and menthol on the fresh nose. Then fresh citrus, mineral and orchard fruit flavors buffered by harmonious acidity, giving the midpalate a nicely taut quality. In a high-altitude style - and a mercifully much less oaky one than past efforts, which, though highly praised (never by me) were almost caricatural in their caramelly overtones. (Feb 2020)

Lightly toasty but fresh and well-balanced throughout, this classy white layers flavors of patisserie apple and pear, Meyer lemon peel, hazelnut and fleur de sel. Lithe and appealing, with delicate spice and mineral accents on the lingering finish. Drink now through 2033. 7,500 cases made, 1,500 cases imported.
