One of the finest Bordeaux blends to yet come from these awesome hillsides is the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Ones. Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon brought up in 80% new barrels, this crazy good 2016 boasts a saturated purple color and awesome notes of crème de cassis, blackberries, scorched earth, graphite, and chocolate. It too is a massive, opulent, unctuous beauty and has sweet tannins, thrilling purity of fruit, and terrific overall balance. Hide bottles for 2-4 years and it should keep for 10-15 years, probably quite a bit longer.

Deep ruby-purple, the 2016 Ones Cabernet Sauvignon offers cassis, grilled meats, baked black cherries, leather, Chinese five spice and notes of cedar and graphite on the nose. The medium-bodied palate is packed to the gills with ripe, dark fruits, firmly framed and finely grainy with a long, dense finish. This still needs at least another 2-3 years in bottle.

Heady, with thick, ripe layers of Christmas pudding, plum paste and steeped blackberry flavors, coated with black licorice and warm fruitcake notes. A vanilla coating takes over on the finish. Drink now. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. 250 cases made.
