Nestled in famous Napa Valley, our family has been growing winegrapes on our historic St. Helena vineyard since 1932. Originally planted in 1860 by Dr. George Crane, three generations of the Salvestrin Family have meticulously and sustainably farmed this 26 acre vineyard for 81 harvests. Being sensitive to the environment and the surrounding community by following organic guidelines, we consistently create handcrafted wines that are fruit forward, elegant, balanced and memorably world class.
The 2020 3D Cabernet Sauvignon showcases the very best representation of our Dr. Crane Vineyard. This wine is fruit forward and shines with notes of black cherry, cedar, baking spice, bramble fruit compote, cola and herbs de Provence. The entry is elegant, velvety and medium bodied with luscious mid palate weight. Tannins are refined and polished with very fine soft grit that defines its subtle power and great length. A persistent and graceful finish embodies all the characteristics of a classic Cabernet Sauvignon. This spectacular wine is poised for aging long into the future.

A terrific bargain (in the context of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon), Salvestrin's 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Dr. Crane Vineyard is a blend of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot and 7% Cabernet Franc, all from the site adjoining the winery. Gentle cedar and cinnamon notes accent ripe cherries and loamy earth, with the merest hint of dried herbs on the nose. It's medium to full-bodied in the mouth, with a silky, softly dusty feel that suggests cocoa powder on the long, elegant finish.
