Ripe and rich with pure black cherry, the 2021 Rosso Di Montalcino is compact in its aromatics of black licorice and menthol. Generous and dark on the palate as well, it offers notes of wet stone, blackberry, and fresh black cherry. It is firm in its structure at this stage, although it is certainly a solid Rosso that offers a lot of depth. Drink 2023-2030.

It's hard to understand how an entry-level Rosso gets to 15% alcohol, but this wine does. The Caprili 2021 Rosso di Montalcino reveals a dark garnet color and punchy aromas of candied cherry, lilac, blueberry tart and red licorice. The wine is concentrated and bold in appearance but ultimately reveals a lean-bodied approach. This is a release of 38,000 bottles.
