The 2022 Involuntary Commitment is a total pleasure on the nose, lifting up with a sweetly spiced blend of violet candies, lavender, dark chocolate and blackberry preserves. It's silky smooth and pliant with ripe red and blue fruit notes accelerated by juicy acidity. Chalky mineral tones add form toward the close. This finishes spicy, long and gently tannic yet incredibly fresh, leaving hints of blackcurrant and graphite that fade slowly. Involuntary Commitment is easily one of the best values in Washington State. It's a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot.
