Rutherford Cabernet defines Napa style, and here's a fine taste of "Rutherford dust" at a very fair price indeed. It's a blend of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Merlot, 2% Petit Verdot, 2% Petite Sirah with 18 months in 30% new oak. Opens nicely with air to show fine richness and volume and very pretty spice notes to complement the dark berry fruit. Smooth enough to sip solo, but a very fine choice at table with beef or lamb.
