The hue is a pale and refined straw green. The nose shows fine-drawn expression of perfectly ripe pit fruit, floral, citrus and lightly spiced aromas. In the palate, we taste a very well judged balance of grass and minerality. The freshness is always present in a focused package. Terrific length and definition.
From the winemaker:
"The aromatics are exotic and the palate possesses minerality with a burgeoning richness. Youthful and pale green in color, the flavors are complex, revealing floral, pear, and lemon notes. A lovely mineral core and crystallized fruit, with a long, energetic finish. Very enjoyable now but will age gracefully for at least a decade."
Pair with roast chicken, grilled salmon, and risotto with wild mushrooms.

The 2016 Chardonnay Anderson Valley has open-knit aromas of white peaches, hay, baker’s yeast, citrus blossoms and salted almonds. The medium-bodied, silky-textured palate explodes with ripe, savory fruits tempered by gentle yeasty touches, alive and fresh and broadening out on the long, expansive finish. Lovely!
