Booker Vineyard FullDraw 2016
Save $60.00 (35%)
Fulldraw is new to the line-up with fruit sourced from the vineyard immediately adjoining Booker. The soils are pure white calcareous shale, and getting a crop is almost impossible. Thus making it both a widely unique site as well as borderline unsustainable due to the miniscule yields. As with most young vines in a site that has no vigor, the fruit you get it fresh and exciting but it is key to refrain from getting carried away and making a wine that is over the top in ripeness.
Bryant Family Cabernet Sauvignon 2014A beautiful expression of our unique terroir, this wine is a testament to the dedication of our winemaking and vineyard team who aim to produce the finest wine possible from this site.

Mayacamas Mt. Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon 2013The 2013 vintage of Mayacamas Cabernet Sauvignon marks the beginning of a bright new era of winemaking at Mayacamas. Savory, bright and deep, this generous wine offers black cherry, ripe blackberry, and mission fig. On the palate herb notes of star anise, marjoram and French lavender provide complexity and depth alongside the juicy bramble fruits. Secondary notes of graphite, cacao and pencil lead hint at classic wines of the old world.
Saxum Paderewski Vineyard 2015 1.5LThe Paderewski Vineyard is a beautiful property owned by Bill and Liz Armstrong, the owners of Epoch Estate. Justin Smith replanted the original site. However, he felt a wine coming from the Paderewski Vineyard had to include the original varieties that made it famous, Zinfandel and Petite Sirah, but in a blend that also showcased Rhone Varietals too. The wines are never racked off their lees and are bottled unfined and unfiltered.
Saxum Broken Stones 2015Our Broken Stones cuvee is Syrah based, with a large portion of Petite Sirah and Grenache and a splash of Mourvedre. It is aged for 18-20 months in mainly new, French barriques. It is full-bodied, rich, and intense, but also reveals great purity, focus and complexity. The Broken Stones is the only wine we make that is a multi-vineyard blend, utilizing all the vineyards that we source from. Our wines are never racked off their lees and are bottled unfined and unfiltered. Click here to download notes on previous releases of Broken Stones.

Sine Qua Non Next of Kyn Cumulus Vineyard 2013
Sine Qua Non Capo Dei Putti Syrah 2014Sine Qua Non was created after the 1994 harvest of a Bien Nacido Syrah which was named The Queen of Spades. Manfred feels strongly that each year, each vintage, is a completely unique wine and thus he gives each wine a unique name. He also creates the artwork for each new label himself. Previously, Manfred had made wines with Bryan Babcock and John Alban. The basic wines have always been a white blend of Chardonnay, Roussanne and Viognier and a red wine based on Syrah plus some Grenache. There are at times small quantities of Rose and a Grenache-based red. They also embarked on a fantastic project with the renowned winemaker Alois Kracher of Austria. The wines are called Mr. K and represent sweet wines made in the world's greatest styles: Eiswein, Vin de Paille and TBA.
Sine Qua Non Testa Dei Cherubini Grenache 2014
Andremily Mourvedre 2015The 2015 Andremily Mourvedre our second offering made from this wonderful grape, shares many similarities to its older sibling, with just a few refinements on the road to total enjoyment. The 2015 Andremily Mourvedre is a blend comprised of 92% Mourvedre, 5% Syrah, and 3% Viognier. It was raised in 100% French Barrique of which 50% were new. The final cuvee' was 70% whole-cluster fermented, and bottled without fining or filtration. The 2015 Andremily Mourvedre is a full-bodied, concentrated, and rich cuvee' that explodes from the glass with scents of espresso, roasted meats, blackberries, and plum, with a firm backbone and lingering finish.

Realm The Tempest 2016The Tempest - a famous play, a violent storm, and the name of our Merlot-based blend, fashioned after the great wines of Pomerol in Bordeaux. The Tempest was the first proprietary wine Realm released, so named for the "perfect" storm of three grape varietals that became available at the same time, from the same vineyard, in 2002 -- the year of our tumultuous beginning. Though our equipment was borrowed and the winery we occupied unfinished, our grapes were sound that year - beautiful in fact - and the resulting wine reflected a fierce determination to brave the storm. The Tempest is still made with beautiful grapes, from vineyards such as Beckstoffer Orchard and Dr. Crane, as well as Blair Vineyard in Calistoga. Predominantly Merlot, with lesser amounts of Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot depending on vintage, The Tempest is a roiling cauldron of lush, bright, red fruit - a wine that shows what Merlot can be in the right hands, from the right vineyards.
Realm The Bard 2016We consider The Bard to be the quintessential wine of Realm: a dense, weighty and concentrated wine that year in and year out showcases the very best Cabernet Sauvignon of Napa Valley.
Carte Blanche Cabernet Sauvignon 2015A super complex nose leaps from the glass, showing dark and red fruits, cassis, graphite, and lead pencil. A broad palate opens to reveal black fruits, hint of red currant, and fresh tobacco leaf, all leading to a mile long silky finish
Dana Estates Lotus Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2015After over two years in barrel, the 2015 Lotus Cabernet Sauvignon displays a deep purple color and a youthful vibrancy. Aromas of blackberry, roasted plums, espresso, India ink, graphite, dark chocolate, and nutmeg. The wine is full bodied with a creamy richness. It captures the essence of Lotus Vineyard in its firm structure and concentration while retaining energy and balance. Classic blue and black fruit preserves, and warm spice flavors coat the palate. Enjoy 2019 through 2035 and beyond.
Saxum G2 Vineyard Red 2016It is a truly exotic wine. Not far beneath the core of plum and blood orange there are scents of what I would imagine a Moroccan market would smell like, incense and spice and perhaps a touch of something illegal (at least in most of the US!). I think this wine will reward some patience in the cellar, more so than the other Grenache blends we made in 2016. Give her 3 years to really strut her stuff.
Saxum Terry Hoage Vineyard 2016We found the Grenache to be the super star of the vintage and wanted to preserve its purity and beauty, so we chose to age this blend primarily in 1 large oak Foudre (3000 Liters). This allowed the wine to retain it's energy and precision, even though it's a ripe, juicy, fruit dominated wine. Sticking with the theme of 16, pleasure balanced with intrigue and depth of purity.
Saxum Rocket Block James Berry Vineyard 2015 1.5LIt is a wine that defies categorizing. On the one hand, it is loaded with ripe rich flavors, mouth coating and decadent. On the other hand, it is ethereal and light. Our wines are never racked off their lees and are bottled unfined and unfiltered.
Cayuse Bionic Frog Syrah 2016
Saxum James Berry Vineyard Proprietary Red 2016Soaring aromatics of cherries and California sage, a beautiful, lush mouthfeel of red and black fruits, and a finish that is perhaps 3 miles long consisting of baking spice and fennel (maybe even 4 miles, it's hard to say for sure). Fresh and lively, yet rich and pleasurable, it's the ultimate combo.
Booker Vineyard The Ones 2 Box Set 201698-100 JD - A 100% Syrah cuvée, the 2016 Syrah Ones comes from the best block on the estate, which was pulled from the Fracture cuvée as it didn't blend well. Crème de cassis, black raspberries, smoke, crushed violets and vanilla bean, it has an ethereal texture, killer purity and fine tannin. It's going to flirt with perfect, 98 JD - One of the finest Bordeaux blends to yet come from these awesome hillsides is the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Ones. Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon brought up in 80% new barrels, this crazy good 2016 boasts a saturated purple color and awesome notes of crème de cassis, blackberries, scorched earth, graphite, and chocolate. It too is a massive, opulent, unctuous beauty and has sweet tannins, thrilling purity of fruit, and terrific overall balance. Hide bottles for 2-4 years and it should keep for 10-15 years, probably quite a bit longer.

Booker Vineyard Oublie 22 2016
Booker Vineyard Ripper 22 2016
Château-Latour Pauillac 1988 6L BottleThe Grand Vin displays concentrated aromas of coffee, liquorice and truffle, even if its color is still dark rubis. The mouth is very structured, elegant and very concentrated, with a long back-bone of tannins and a persistent finish.
Château-Margaux Margaux 1988 6L BottleThe very deep colour, the rich, intense nose and the magnificent structure on the palate are very reminiscent of the 1986. They have the same powerful, ripe tannins, with perhaps a little less concentration, but also less austerity. Unlike 1986, in fact, 1988 is starting to open out; we can therefore drink it, knowing full well that it will continue to improve for several years -seven or eight at least.
Sine Qua Non Patine mag Box Set 1 Grenache 1 Syrah 2011 1.5L BottleSine Qua Non has its own winemaking facility in Ventura, not far from the Santa Barbara vineyards where the fruit is sourced from the region's best vineyards. In the last few years Elaine and Manfred have begun creating their own vineyards dedicated to Rhone varietals and now their Cumulus and Eleven Confessions estate vineyards are contributing the majority of the fruit for their wines. Their winemaking philosophy is to work in very small batches, gravity flow, natural yeasts (unless a fermentation problem is anticipated), long lees aging for the whites and repeated racking for the reds to open them up. This is a simplified explanation of a very dedicated and artistic approach to winemaking. The wines are at once very rich and elegant, superbly balanced and thoroughly harmonious with food, never overwhelming. Gift Set includes one magnum Syrah, and one magnum Grenache.
Bogle Merlot 2016Gorgeous in the glass with rich hues of garnet, the first impressions entice with aromas of sandalwood, vanilla and black cherry. The mouthwatering entry is full of red plums and cherries, while the middle palate of the wine softens with touches of cola and a smooth and silky mouthfeel. Notes of baking spices and mocha are left behind by the 12 months in American oak, leading to a lingering, luxe finish. A Few of Our Favorite Pairings: Margherita Pizza. Aged White Cheddar. Chicken Liver Pâté.
Stag's Leap Wine Cellars Artemis Cabernet Sauvignon 2015Aromas of dark cherry and berry fruit, cassis, sweet vanilla and a hint of olive. On the palate, the wine has a smooth entry with a rich mouthfeel and lingering aftertaste of black cherry and dusty cocoa. Enjoy this Cabernet Sauvignon with Memphis-style dry rub pork or beef ribs, grilled tri-tip, or polenta with wild mushrooms, sage and prosciutto.
If You See Kay Red 2016Appearance: The wine is dark purple to the rim. Aroma: Massive ripe black fruit and rich spice aromas that hit you right away. Mouth Feel: Dense blackberry and mocha flavors dominate the palate, the mouth-filling texture is powerful, yet elegant and creamy all the way through. The finish goes on forever, with hints of smoke and grilled meat lingering at the end. Food Pairing: Kay is versatile with all kinds of foods, but pairs best with big, bold flavors.
Justin Cabernet Sauvignon 2016Appearance: Deep purple ruby core, slightly lighter at the rim showing slight staining on the glass. Aroma: Aromatic with black cherry and blackcurrant fruit, attractive oak and complex cigar box notes with cocoa and a subtle purple floral note. Palate: Dry, moderate plus bodied, with ripe blackcurrant, black cherry and a touch of red fruit brightness on the entry. Balanced oak, vanilla spice and brioche notes mixed with classic savory cabernet varietal cues mingle on the mid-palate. The finish is moderately long and fresh with sustained rounded fruit and lingering baking spice balanced nicely by firm, smooth tannins.
Layer Cake Shiraz 2015The aromas of cocoa, warm spice and dark fruit are very powerful from the first whiff. In the mouth, the wine is layered with rich blackberry, dark cherries and hints of dark, creamy chocolate ganache. The finish lingers on, hanging on your palate while the fruit and spice flavors slowly change and fade.
Cherry Pie Stanly Ranch Pinot Noir 2014Dense ruby in color, the 2014 Stanly Ranch Pinot Noir first shows aromas of crushed berry, fresh lavender and rose with cola undertones. The palate is full-bodied in texture, showing bountiful notes of raspberry jam, baked strawberries and a hint of cherry cola atop cocoa flavors and powdered tannins. Laden with the same bold fruits as on the nose, the mid-palate shows layer upon layer of cranberry, dried rose petal and vanilla, carrying through the long finish.
Roederer Estate Brut NVThe Roederer Estate Brut is crisp and elegant with complex pear, spice and hazelnut flavors. It is fresh and lightly fruity with great finesse and depth of flavor.
Saxum Paderewski Vineyard 2010 1.5LOur second Paderewski bottling is firing on all cylinders. I backed off on the Syrah and used a lot more Mourvedre, and added a new component, Tempranillo. Yes I know, we are crazy! It's a Zinfandel / Mourvedre / Tempranillo / Syrah / Petite Sirah blend, and it shows its terrior beautifully. What you get from this wine is a taste of the Paderewski Vineyard. It is dark, brooding and muscular, while at the same time jam packed with tons of sweet fruits. There's even a spicy tannic side lurking in there, underneath those fruit flavors. Thanks to the cool, long growing season, it has a wonderful freshness and purity to it combined with great underlying tannins.
Chateau les Rouilleres Bordeaux 2015This wine has cherry color of a medium intensity. It is aromatic with notes of red fruits and spices. The tannis are supple and the wine is fine and balanced. A spectacular Bordeaux from the much heralded 2009 vintage with a level of complexity that far exceeds its humble price point. Goes great with grilled meats and cheese. Featured in TheTimesWeekly.com as Wine of the Week 9/23/14: "This is an exceptional Bordeaux blend of Merlot, Cabernet and Cabernet Franc that truly delivers a delicate blend of ripe red fruit and creamy vanilla spice from oak aging that makes it the perfect accompaniment for an elegant meal of steak, lamb or turkey, pheasant or a roasted rosemary chicken."
Sloan Asterisk Cabernet Sauvignon 2009
Argiano Non Confunditur 2012NC is a wine with a decisive, full-bodied character, smooth tannins and a persistent finish. This blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah andSangiovese reveals an exciting potency, with the innate gentleness of Merlot creating a bridge between the evident earthiness of Sangiovese, the aromatic blackcurrant flavour of Cabernet and the warm red berries of Syrah. The result is a generous, rounded red wine, destined for short to medium ageing, with delicious aromas of currants and generous fruit flavours, versatile enough to develop in greater depth during long months in the bottle.
Saxum Booker Vineyard 2010 1.5LOwned by Eric and Lisa Jensen, the Booker Vineyard is extremely steep and rocky with a mix of calcareous and silicious soils. We lease 2 acres of East facing Syrah that produce extremely concentrated fruit with great acidity, 1 acre of a North West face that we ferment whole cluster to produce a black tannic wine with great texture, and 1 acre of Mourvedre on a South slope that gives wonderful intensity and structure. The resulting blend is very concentrated, with great texture and tons of fruit and spice. We age it for 20-26 months mainly in new 350 Liter French hogshead barrels with extra thick staves. Our wines are never racked off their lees and are bottled unfined and unfiltered.
Charles & Charles Chardonnay 2016
A to Z Wineworks Pinot Noir 2015The generous 2015 vintage delivered rich, dark color to the 2015 A to Z Oregon Pinot Noir. Stricking aromas of black cherries, blackberries, blueberries and raspberries are overlaid with a cornucopia of spices. As the wine opens, aromas expand to include pip tobacco, fennel and red currants. The palate initially mirrors the aromatics with complex, pure red and blue fruit flavors. As the wine moves across the palate, ripe, dusty tannins bracketed by juicy acidity give shape and definition to the powerful fruit flavors in harmony with a mineral quality, reminiscent of slate and graphite. The 2015 A to Z Pinot Noir is perhaps the most beautiful Pinot Noir we have made due to the perfect nature of the 2015 vintage in Oregon. While the stunning, complex, succulent 2015 A to Z Pinot Noir was built for near term drinking, this wine has great integrity and should have no problem aging for years to come.
Quinta do Noval Black"I have always wanted to make Port Wine that would be a clear expression of the Noval style, easily accesible as wine that could be poured by the glass, no aging and no decantingnecessary. No complications, jus a great glass of Port" Christian Seely Managing Director of Quinta do Noval Over the past fifteen years, Quinta do Noval has undertakena massive replanting programme in it's spectacular vineyards, perched right above the River Duoro, and concentrating on the great noble varieties such as Touriga National, TourigaFranca, Tinta Cao among others. Now those new vines are coming on stream, with a wealth of superb vibrant fruit every harvest from wich to make the selection for the distinctive fresh and smooth NOVAL BLACK blend. NOVAL BLACK is aged for two years in wood before bottling . Made from top quality traditional Duoro grape varieties, it has rich fruit, a fine bouquet and a delicate palate.
Falletto di Bruno Giacosa Barolo 2007Garnet red colour with orange reflections. Ample and complex bouquet with notes recalling truffle and liquorice. In the mouth it feels dry, full and velvety, unfolding a great personality.
Two Hands Ares Shiraz 2009Colour: Deep red and black with magenta rim Aroma: Bright and intense, volumes of rich berries, plums and maraschino cherries. The aromas are continually evolving, also bringing cedary spice, subtle lavender, bitter chocolate, tar and fudge Palate: Currently very tight and restrained. 2009 brought wines of great flavour with elements of finesse and the 09 Ares is no exception. Juicy plums and blueberries dominate early to mid-palate, then underlying cedary chocolate notes emerge carrying the wine through to the late palate, tightening up again to a focused core of fruit, spice and tannin
Saxum Booker Vineyard 2011 1.5LThe 2011 growing season was an extremely cool year for us. Not a single day was over 100o the whole season, which we have never experienced before. Normally a cool season might be a disaster for the late ripening Rhone varieties we grow, but, and this is why I am so blessed to be a grape grower on the Central Coast of California, the weather was mild and without rain that Fall. When the end of October rolled around in 2011 and most of our fruit was still on the vine, I was more than a little worried to say the least! It is not uncommon to get some rain in late October, and since we hadn't even started to pick, I had reason to be fearful. Thankfully the mild weather held perfectly and we were able to harvest fully mature fruit throughout November. Yes, November! Most of our fruit came in between Halloween and Thanksgiving, very crazy. So what does this mean for the wine that resulted from the extremely cool, late season? Well, it is a little lighter in color, but still quite dark, and a little lower in alcohol, but still comparatively weighty. The aromatics are what I find magical on this set of wines, the cool temperatures kept them amazingly fresh and ethereal. Definitely on the spice side as opposed to the fruit aspect that we normally see more of in a warmer year. In the cellar I tried to respect this character of the 2011 vintage. We used a little more whole cluster fermentation to soften the tannins and increase the spiciness and we cut down on the amount of new oak we would normally use to let the spice shine through even more. We also increased the amount of concrete aging vessels we use to really bring it all home with an exclamation point! I really like them, and I think they will be fascinating wines to follow over the next 20 years!
