The base 2016 Fracture is another flat-out awesome wine from Jenson that has everything you could want from a Syrah grown on limestone soils on the west side of Paso Robles. Made from 100% Syrah aged in 70% new French oak, it offers a huge nose of blackcurrants, toasty oak, espresso, smoke tobacco, and crushed flowers. Deep, massively concentrated, and textured, it still glides across the palate with thrilling purity of fruit and has a great, great finish.

Made of 100% Syrah aged 18 months in 70% new French oak, the 2016 Syrah Fracture is deep garnet-purple colored, opening with exuberant notes of crushed blackberries, black cherries and cassis with hints of asphalt, star anise, truffles and mossy bark. Full, firm and with a rock-solid frame of grainy tannins, it has tons of taut, muscular fruit, finishing long and mineral tinged

Spirited and bold yet polished, with expressive crushed stone, blueberry and smoky mocha accents that build richness toward big but refined tannins. Drink now through 2026. 2,100 cases made.
