Chateau Cote Montpezat Côtes de Castillon 2014
|Region||France, Bordeaux, Cotes de Castillon|
|Brand||Chateau Cote Montpezat|
Named after the pilgrim route to Santiago de Compostella in Spain, this is a structured, firm wine with strong signs of wood aging. That gives it a dry core of tannins that contrast with its rich black fruit. Drink from 2020.
Refined, with a graphite edge adding a racy feel to the core of dark plum and red currant fruit, while light tea, apple wood and dried anise hints check in on the finish. Reserved in style, showing some sneaky length. Drink now through 2020. 3,500 cases made.
