Canvasback Cabernet Sauvignon 2014This fragrant wine begins with alluring aromas of blackberry, plum and mountain huckleberry intermingled with brighter notes of Bing cherry and ripe wild strawberry. As it evolves in the glass, layers of anise and sarsaparilla are revealed, alongside hints of caramel and espresso from barrel aging. The Peterson Vineyard produces fruit of incredible richness and complexity on its sandy soils. The Peterson's have been farming the land sustainably for four generations.

Altamura Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2014Our hillside and valley floor estate vineyards in Wooden Valley are at elevations of 700 to 1000 feet. Soil types on the ranch which are similar to the Rutherford Bench and the mountainous regions of Howell Mountain, Pritchard Hill and Mount Veeder called for several different clones of Cabernet Sauvignon on a number of different rootstocks upon planting in 1986. The vines are dry-farmed and vertically trellised. Fermentation of Altamura Cabernet Sauvignon occurs in both open and closed top fermenters. Certain lots are allowed to macerate on their skins for up to three weeks following fermentation. This technique produces a wine with softer, more integrated tannins, which carry fruit and oak nuances through to the palate. The wine is racked into 70% new French oak barrels for a period of 34 months. The wine is lightly filtered and then bottled.
Bodegas y Vinedos Maurodos Prima 2014Prima 2014 Region: Toro D.O. Winery: MAURODOS, BODEGAS Y VINEDOS Grapes: 85% Tinta de Toro, 15% Garnacha Vintage: 2014 Color: Red The grapes for Prima are sourced from vines between 10 and 50 years of age. The vineyards for this wine are growing in sandy-clay soils with gravelly subsoils. Vineyards are trained both en vaso and to wire. The younger estate vines were planted at higher density than existing plantings. This 2014 vintage is uniformed in quantity and quality with balanced phenolic ripeness, aromatic intensity, precise fruit, smooth tannins and well measured aging. Winter was relatively warm, with below average rainfall and rapid bud break. Early flowering in the beginning in June due to a frost-free Spring. Veraison came early and harvesting started September 8th. Harvesting took place for four weeks with perfect weather conditions and occasional storms refreshing the grapes, which had no impact on the health of the fruit. The grapes are harvested by hand with a selection of grapes in the vineyard. The wine is fermented in temperature controlled, conical, stainless steel tanks which allow for caps to naturally be broken very softly during pump overs. The wine was aged for 12 months in French and American oak barrels of different ages. Bottled in February 2016.

We harvest the grapes at peak maturity, ferment them for optimal extraction, age them slowly in new French oak and bottle without filtration. The resulting wine has deep black cherry and currant fruit complemented by classic Rutherford expression of cocoa, cedar and black olive. Impressive and elegant, Hewitt Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon may be enjoyed in its youth or savored after years in the cellar.
Freelander District One Cabernet Sauvignon 2016The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon is the fourth Cabernet release from Freelander and from California. Aged in and American French oak, it shows massively rich flavors of blackberries and cassis. This medium-bodied wine shows lush mouthfeel, balance and complexity. The ripe, sweet tannins and a touch of toasted oak complete the gentle finish.
Adobe Road Redline 2016Premier Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, Malbec and Petite Syrah combine with lush Syrah from Sonoma to produce an impressive yet approachable red blend encompassing the best fruit California has to offer. This wine revs up with blackberry and mocha aromas (along with a nuance of anise), turning the corner with velvety dark chocolate, black cherry, baking spices and deep ripe fruit from palate to finish. Redline was aged in toasted French oak, enhancing the natural tannin of the varietals with a subtle smokiness. The balanced acidity holds up to a variety of foods such as steak, pizzetta, pork belly and rich pasta.
Venge Scout's Honor 2016Aromas of stone fruits, crushed blue herbs, violets, cherry, anise, and a touch of honeysuckle. On the palate is pure richness from the old-vine Zinfandel with loads of super-ripe blackberry, pepper spice, and an enveloping masculinity of char and tannins from the Syrah, Charbono and Petite Sirah. A seamless balance and mouth coating deliciousness are found throughout the palate, with an extra long finish with a touch of barrel tannin at the end.

Silver Oak Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2014Our 2012 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon artfully combines the classic elegance of the old world and the ripe fruit of California. It displays an opaque garnet color with a bouquet driven by fruity aromas of blackberry liqueur and hoisin sauce. It also offers the savory components of sage and molasses. These complex aromatics are complemented by sandalwood and nutmeg characteristics indicative of American oak aging. This is a well-structured wine with a compact and rich mid-palate buttressed by silky tannins and generous acidity. Given proper cellaring, this wine will provide drinking pleasure through 2037.

Evel Douro Red 2014The Evel Tinto is produced from vines planted at Quinta das Carvalhas, Quinta dos Aciprestes and Quinta de Cidrô, located in Pinhão, Vale do Tua and São João da Pesqueira. The first two locations benefit from a warm climate where wines are structured and elegante while Quinta de Cidrô benefits from a cool climate that permits the slow maturation of grapes and the production of aromatic wines with smooth tanins. The Evel Red is considered a typical Douro reference, with aromas of red fruit and green notes, typical for the region. It reveals itself very balanced, flavourful and round with a good structure and a fruity, persistent finish.
Casa Santos Lima Colossal Reserva Red 2014With an intense rubi colour, this wine presents itself with a great concentration in the nose. Extremely rich aroma with predominance of red ripe frutis and some floral notes, well integrated with notes of spices coming from the ageing in French and American aok barrels. In the mouth it shows great complexity with notes of plums and blackberries. The finish is rich and elegant.

Bogle Old Vine Zinfandel 2015For years, Bogle winemakers have sought out vines ranging in age from 60 to 80 years old for our Old Vine Zinfandel. These gnarly head- trained and dry farmed pioneers produce low yields of small, concentrated clusters of fruit, producing incredibly intense and flavorful wines. Greeted with sun-ripened raspberries and freshly ground white peppercorns on the nose, this Zinfandel is saturated with flavors of red berries and cranberries. Laced with a hint of savory herb in the background, the traditional tones of juniper lead to a full and ripe finish, while 12 months of aging in two year old barrels wraps the wine in spicy oak and a touch of vanilla wafer. Pairings: This Sauvignon Blanc is great on its own as an apertif or paired with oysters, sushi, gazpacho or spicy Thai chicken noodles.

Ataliva Malbec 2016An entry-level offering from Bodega Benegas, Ataliva is made with 100% Malbec grapes sourced from the Upper bank of the Mendoza River and from Tupungato's Uco Valley. Aged in French oak barrels (2nd and 3rd use) for about 6 months. At 14.5% Ataliva is a big wine and there is enough structure to balance the fruit and ripeness and subtle earthy elements lend a welcome savory aspect. Enjoy with grilled meat and BBQ.
Big Bill Red Blend 2016William ‘Big Bill’ Millar, boxing champ, decorated war hero, Springbok rugby captain and the first General Manager of KWV from 1924 to 1942, is the inspiration behind Big Bill, a new wine brand that offers unusual blend appeal that is larger than life, just as Big Bill was. This vibrant red blend shows upfront strawberry, cherry and mulberry aromas with hints of peppery spice and dark chocolate on the nose. The silky tannin structure is complimented by sweet fruit on the palate which contributes to the long, Iingering finish.
