Clos d'Agon Amic Tinto 2012
A fresh and clean red with dried fruit and lemon undertones. Full body, dark fruits and a crisp finish. Lots going on. Drink now.
Station Plaza Wine
The entry-level red is the 2012 Amic, a multi-grape blend of 28% Garnacha, 27% Merlot, 23% Cabernet Sauvignon and 22% Syrah fermented in stainless steel with selected yeasts and matured in barrel for six months. It has an herbal and creamy nose but at the same denoting ripeness. The palate shows good balance, fine tannins and more acidity that I anticipated because of the nose giving it a fresher than expected finish. 22,000 bottles produced.
