The 2015 Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon continues the winegrowing and winemaking approach that has earned this wine consistently high critical praise. This vintage again showcases the intense fruit flavors deftly and subtle layers of earth and spice that distinguish our Alexander Valley Cabernet. Deep, rich flavors of plum, cherry compote, fig and cranberry weave through those layers of spice that include cinnamon, nutmeg and clove. They are all accented by earthy truffle notes in a full, long finish. This dense, rich and well-structured wine is held together beautifully by polished, assertive tannins. The depth and structure show the wine's potential to age gracefully a decade or more.

Station Plaza WineSam and I agree this is an amazing wine for the money. We enjoyed it with a gluten free pizza from Ginos - here in Bronxville. It has the power of full bodied cabernet and the finesse that comes with Sonoma, particularity Alexander Valley wines. On the nose is blueberry, blackberry and plumb with a hit of tobacco and mocca. On the pallet it is so sexy and sophisticated that you will not believe it is less than $100 a bottle. You get a little mocca / mint and lushes ripe dark fruit that lingers on your buds for a delightful finish. Kevin Kingston

Wine SpectatorSeductive for the supple, juicy mix of blackberry and raspberry flavors, this has jazzy, oaky cedar, vanilla and mocha notes, ending long and focused. Drink now through 2028. 6,200 cases made.

Wine AdvocateThe 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Alexander Valley is medium to deep garnet-purple and scented of cassis, blackberries and dried herbs with cedar chest and pencil lead hints plus an earthy undercurrent. Medium to full-bodied with firm, chewy tannins and spicy American oak flavors, it finishes long and fruity.
