The 2014 Savatiano is the unoaked version here, dry and coming in at 12.4% alcohol. It was sourced from 60-year-old vines in the Attica area. Light in body, this nonetheless has lovely fruit, as the juicy finish proved. It is simply delicious. Nicely focused, crisp and friendly, it ends with a little bit of a tropical mint note. The fruit is nicely cut by the acidity, making it more persistent than it at first seemed. Overall, this should drink rather well for the next few years.
