The 2013 Proprietary Red Blend Labor of Love is a blend of 75% Cabernet Franc and the rest equal parts Petit Verdot and Cabernet Sauvignon. This is clearly their most Cabernet Franc-dominated effort. Beautiful blueberry and blackberry fruit and spring flowers soar from the glass of this dense ruby/purple colored wine. This is high-class Cabernet Franc-dominated wine that is complex, ethereal and has super-intensity without the weight. This is a great effort from Les Behrens and Lisa Drinkward. It should continue to drink well for another 20 years.

Deeply aromatic, with blackberry, forest floor, cedar, lavender and dusty, loamy earth notes. Distinctive and complex, this is not shy on tannins or savory herbal elements.
