Brunello di Montalcino "Reserve" by Poggio Salvi di Montalcino is a more structured wine than Brunello di Montalcino "Annata", resulting from a deep research work. Ten months of more aging in oak barrels give this wine even more balance, developing more complex taste and aromas with tertiary fragrances, increasing its ageing potential and making it the best product of our cellar.

Wine EnthusiastUnderbrush, woodland berry, cake-spice aromas and a whiff of eucalyptus come together in the glass. The firm palate offers layers of juicy dark cherry-berry, licorice, tobacco and a hint of vanilla. It's balanced and intense, with chewy tannins. Drink 2020-2030.

Wine AdvocateDark garnet in color, the 2010 Brunello di Montalcino is a deep and savory wine with evolved tones of dried cherry, blackberry preserves, spice, worn leather and cured meat. Pretty accents of grilled herb and licorice add to the wine's sense of life and buoyancy. Smoked bacon and spice wrap over the palate. Villa Poggio Salvi's wines have been less consistent in recent years.
