This fruit hails from Cayuse's "En Cerise" vineyard. Literally translated, "En Cerise" means "cherry"-appropriate since this 10-acre vineyard planted in 1998 was a cherry orchard in its former life.

Wine AdvocateA blend of 50% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon aged in 40% new 600-liter barrles, the 190-case 2014 Flying Pig offers an intense nose of chocolate-covered cherries, dried herbs/tobacco, lead pencil shavings and damp earth. Rich, beautifully layered, concentrated and full-bodied, this is quite possibly the greatest vintage to date of this cuvee.
